2011 Budget Discussions
The Council's budget review committee will be in session from mid August through mid December. During the review sessions, Councilmembers meet with department directors to better understand the budget proposal and to also consider spending and financing options. The meeting dates for the committee are shown on the budget calendar.

Two key dates in the budgeting process are September 15 and December 15. On September 15, the Council must declare the maximum property tax levy for 2011. December 15 is the date when all action on the proposal must be completed and the final levies and budgets are adopted. Both of these dates are set by the State.
